At The Bridge Fellowship, we are committed to creating environments where kids can belong. We realize that all kids do not grow and mature at the same pace. We acknowledge the culture our kids live in is changing. We are committed to helping each 10-12 year old find the place where they can begin to develop a life-changing relationship with Christ in a safe, but engaging environment. In order to provide this place, we created MERGE , a preteen ministry for our kids.
Why? One of the most difficult seasons of life for families can be the transition from childhood to adolescence. Recognizing the unique challenges that come with this exciting transition, The Bridge Fellowship has designed a ministry just for preteens (10 to 12 year olds). MERGE is designed to support our kids and families through this transitional time spiritually and individually. Our Bible study, worship and other activities are designed to help these kids grow and develop at their own pace.
How? Over time, we have found that many parents feel that they are not welcome at their student’s activities. We believe that this is the most important time to be involved in your student’s life. We encourage parents to talk with their kids about things of eternal significance. Each week you will receive an email with a suggestion on how to engage your child in conversations. The "MERGE" Experience
MERGE Sunday Mornings: Join Us in TheZone
Fifth graders participate in small groups. These small groups are conducive to encourage and welcome visitors. Older Mergers can also choose to serve in TheZone.
MERGE Sunday Nights: Join us at West Wilson Middle School from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
One Sunday night a month is “Sonic” night. You guessed it...We go to Sonic for milkshakes or slushes! Most Sunday nights, kids participate in small group time discussing Bible truths. Finally, once a month is reserved for each small group to do something fun and build community with one another!
"Dare to be a Daniel" is our current study! Merge kids learning how to share their faith and influence others for Christ!
MERGE Camp:
Attend Lake Forest Ranch in Mississippi with our group during their Preteen Week this summer (2010)!
MERGE Activities:
Every few months, the entire MERGE group will go to a movie, out to eat, or something else fun!

Parents play a critical role in MERGE. While we seek to teach your preteens about God, we know that no one has more influence on their lives than you. We want to partner with you to help them as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage you to ask your preteen what they talked about at church each week.
